This cute little cat is cut from 1/2″ pine wood. Use jute string for the pull, ready made thread holder. The base is 1/2″ – cute 1′ wide x 1 1/2″ approx. long. Tie a bead at the end of the pull. Time to start thinking about the spring time and what brings fresh new ideas. Make these cute Easter decorations as a collectible set or even as magnets. The kissing bunnies shown do NOT have any drilled holes and have one continueous cut. Add tiny wicker baskets for an added accent. Each piece is unique and fun. To make the Bunnies for Sale wood scroll pattern, glue a ready made wood heart to complete the mini. The bunnies are in a ‘cage’ Glue a ‘handle’ on top of the cage using a bent wire / a raffia bow is tied and glued for accent. The bunnies in the cage are painted and then the cage effect of the stripes are painted over the bunnies.There is also a wooden bowl on the boys leg for rabbit food. A handmade Valentines Day gift is delightful & more personal than an expensive store-bought item. This year be encouraged to make glorious Valentines Day gifts made from the heart. Happy Valentine’s Day. Materials other than wood used in this project are : jute string (dyed red) is knotted -then glue to top of head. Store bought mini straw basket. The kittens in the basket are cut from 1/2″ pine wood. A strip of paper with the word “free kittens” is glued on the front. Use Elmer’s glue for all gluing. Glue on the basket to the side of the mini. Glue the kitties in the basket.

Create a magnet using 1/4″ luan. The wood collectible is approx a little more than 3″ in width. Scroll Christmas Wood Collectible

Grab the Christmas gift wrap with pretty graphics. Snowmen, skaters, and glorious landscapes can be used to make Christmas wood collectibles. Cut the image out of the wrapping paper. Glue the image onto the wood. Use spray glue or Elmer’s watered down glue – or decoupage glue. If using Elmer’s white glue, water it down a little bit and brush on the solution on the gift wrap. Smooth out any air bubbles carefully. Once the image is glued on the wood, cut out the image. Paint the sides of the raw wood with acrylic paint, if desired. Coat the finished piece with a clear matte or gloss water-based varnish. If cutting using 1/2 inch wood you may need to add an extra base to make the wood piece stand.
