Free Craft Patterns

This type of wood design is very primitive and considered to be grotesque or savage. These type of patterns were used on door panels, boxes, furniture, caskets and benches and more. Such designs were then painted gold and made to be noticed from a long distance.

Save this Panda onto your computer. Outline and trace onto a piece of wood. You can also transfer it onto cloth for painting a design such as for a garden flag, a scene for a nursery or a child’s bedroom. One way to enlarge the pattern is to print out the bears in sections from your printer.

Paint this on the wood, paper or other surface of your choice. 3/4 wood” is recommended
Materials needed for this project: Acrylic paints in various shades of your choice.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Print out the kitty pattern and use it to trace your kitty patern onto wood. Cut out.
Sand the wood piece well.
Paint the base, sides and back in black acrylic. Let dry. Paint the cat and the front of piece in gold or the color of the cat you have chosen. Allow piece to dry thoroughly. For the rest of the kitty wood piece use the painting outline as a guide to paint the face the bag and the kitties, etc. Don’t worry if you make a mistake when painting. Just let the area dry and paint again right over the mistake. Just paint – paint- paint to see just how fun it is!
