Is your artwork too thin for nailing a sawtooth hanger on the back ? No problem....Here's how to hang artwork or other type picture - on thin and frameless artist panels.
Here's an example of a 1/4" thick plague which is too thin to punch a screw or nail for a hanger.
Materials needed: Duck tape (make sure you use the name brand - as it has proven to be strong and will hold up to moderate weight.
1/8" ribbon (preferred) or 1/4"
Elmers Glue Stick (not generic brand, must be Elmers for best results)
Cut a length of Duck tape as shown along with a length of ribbon. Place the shown on the back of the Duct tape.
Press firmly all around and including where the ribbon is beneath the tape.
Position the tape with the ribbon where you want it on the back of the picture.
No nails - no screws
Nest if you want to cover up the Tape you can use a glue stick and glue the back of a memo type paper such as the one shown.
Be sure to reach out and get all the edges as well as the center of the paper.
Last step will be to smooth out to the edges the label onto your duck tape to cover it up.
