Clip board craft project

Make this super easy craft with either luan Birchwood or ready cut chipboard This is an easy project to make if you are going with the chipboard version of this craft. Purchase the chipboard from Amazon and it is already sized for you. No cutting necessary. If make the Birchwood version of the craft, the measurements vary to most any size you want. The free down loadable PDF flower design for the background measures 8.5" x 11". So the base of the clip may be 8.25" x 10.5". Here are the materials needed: Chipboard or Luan Birchwood (see sidebar on the right for Amazon products) Clip board clip Paper to cover base such as wrapping paper, tissue paper, napkin, cloth, or- choose the free download file of the Sunflowers or the Flower Flapper Modge Podge Artist Flat brush Scissors PDF Sheets of flower design below SUNFLOWER SHEET 8.5" X 11"

INSTRUCTIONS for making a Birchwood clip board: Cut the board to measure 8" x 10". Begin by lightly sanding the sides and face of the board. Next, Download the chosen file you will want and print it out. The paper print will measure 8.5" x 11" . This will be enough coverage once you have printed out the sheet. Spread a thin coat of Modge Podge over the entire face of the board. Work quickly as the glue tends to dry fast. Having a wide flat brush will help in the process. After the face is entirely covered with a layer of the glue smooth the paper on the front and gently go to the corners to release any excess glue or air bubble. A soft paper towel will work well with smoothing over the surface of the paper. Now let the paper dry for a few hours before applying an additional coat of glue on top of the paper. Use long smooth and thin strokes and be sure to work quickly covering the entire face of the front. Let dry completely. Once the glue has dried you can now drill 2 holes to position the metal clip on top of the board. |
