DIRECTIONS:
Find a small piece of scrap pine 3/4" or similar wood measuring at least 6" in length. 1) Transfer the paper pattern onto the wood and cut the ouline out. 2) Paint the base of the cut out entirely with a Lemon yellow or similar color artist acrylic paint. 3) Once the base of yellow has dried, proceed to transfer the pattern - again - over the yellow to put on the final touches of detail with the black and white paint. NOTE: the fine lines on the captain can be made with a fine line Sharpie brand pen.
Be a Flamingo in a flock of Pigeons
Here is a nice smooth style of a nautical craft pattern to add to your collection of seaside decor. Just click on the image, save as, then print from your computer. Tape the pattern onto 1/4" birch, or 1/2- 3/4" pinewood. Cut the flamingo pattern out. Sand lightly then paint the flamingo with acrylics and finish with a coat of water-based satin varnish for protection.
