How to Create customized art or photos for yourself or to sell

Today is a great day to experiment and try something new with your artwork. Here is a  tutorial on how to customize artwork or photos with lettering. Upload a favorite image into a photo  editing program on your computer. There are a number of programs out there to chose from. Some are free such as PhotoScape from Google. The one I use is a similar  version of Photoshop which is called Microsoft Picture It Publish It. To the left is an outline of Cocoa. 

You can chose a filter and make the image a negative as shown. You can use this application for making stitchery outlines, craft stencils, scroll saw patterns and much more. To begin this next easy photo editing trick - I started with  Cocoa again-. 
I upload him into my Microsoft Picture it Publish it program. I then looked on the internet for 'cat quotes'. I copied and pasted the quote onto  my photo








by selecting - TEXT in my editing program. The TEXT appears wherever you need it on the image. (see picture to the right). Your program may be different, so you may have to experiment to see what options you have for type and type-styles.

Another trick you can do is to change the hue and saturation of the colors. I chose a purple  in this example-











I then typed the words 'Welcome' after I took away the shadow. To take away the shadow - I selected a piece of the background and covered the shadow.
